Case Study:
The 1619 Project
Creative - Editorial - Audio - Music Supervision
Hulu’s The 1619 Project is an epic docu-series that examines slavery’s effect on every facet of modern American life. Our creative partners at Hulu wanted to introduce viewers to the groundbreaking series in a way that appealed to mainstream audiences, and also maintained cultural authenticity for African-American viewers.
Kaleide’s role in the launch of the series was also epic, including a :90 opening sequence for the premiere episode, several national launch spots, weekly on-air episodics, and social media combo spots that highlighted the most powerful moments of each night’s two-part broadcast.
We were exceedingly proud to play a part in bringing this important exploration of the African-American experience to the Hulu audience.
